Anson Hohne is a drummer, percussionist, and composer living in Nashville, TN. As a drummer, he first began honing his sound in jazz, free improvisation, and psychedelic rock groups while majoring in music at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Since moving back to his home state in 2012, he has continued to refine his craft, performing and recording in the Nashville area with artists such as Jo Schornikow, Lou Turner, the Ben Rice Trio, Crave On, Ross Collier, Ziona Riley, Jo Kenkel, and Jo Schornikow. While contributing drums and percussion to other local artists, he has also led/co-led his own projects including garage rock band Flossie Dukeshire, free improvisation cooperative The Freedom Coalition, and contemporary jazz group The Look Aways. He currently performs regularly in a jazz trio with vibraphonist Parker James and bassist Paul Defiglia. Their debut recording is set for release in the fall of 2026.
