ARTIST INFO

Anson Hohne is a drummer, percussionist, and composer living in Nashville, TN. As a drummer, he began first honing his sound in jazz, free improvisation, and psychedelic rock groups while majoring in music at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Since moving back to his home state in 2012, he has continued to refine his craft, performing and recording in the Nashville area with artists such as the Ben Rice Trio, Lou Turner, Crave On, The Synchronicity Ensemble, Ziona Riley, Jo Kenkel, and Jo Schornikow. While contributing drums and percussion to other local artists, he has led/co-led his own projects including rock band Flossie Dukeshire, free improvisation cooperative The Freedom Coalition, and an unfinished musical film series Book of Months. Current projects include contemporary jazz group The Look Aways, a trio with vibraphonist Parker James and bassist Paul Defiglia, as well as providing drums for various artists. Anson also teaches private lessons in Nashville, TN.
